Wow this year has been a lot of work. BUT, it has been completely worth all of the trouble. Mason has carved out a little space in our family of 3 and we can't picture our lives without him. He's happy and healthy and we're so grateful. I kept thinking back to what I was doing a year ago... I was in labor right now... 20 hours later....I was still in labor...I thought I would deserve to be showered with gifts for going through all of that but throwing him a party was better. He was happy, so I had to be too.
I spent way too much time decorating and cooking for his birthday party. It's just the first time I've ever had a birthday party for a child of mine. Many of M's life-long friends were there paying homage and he was showered with gifts and love. Thanks everyone.
